3:3 Solomon demonstrated his loyalty to the Lord by following ¹  the practices ²  of his father David, except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.

1 Raja-raja 15:5

15:5 He did this ³  because David had done what he approved ⁴  and had not disregarded any of his commandments ⁵  his entire lifetime, except for the incident involving Uriah the Hittite.
